I will dominate 'credible combatant' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" the American and "break" the American as the pair met personally to promote the upcoming boxing match.

Former two-time world title holder Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Boxer's Mentality

"I will damage his features and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I'm going to really want to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Civil Interaction

Despite such comments, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Paul - typically recognized for his theatrics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul rather criticized ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou declined a bout proposal.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK opponent Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He lost to Briton Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

However, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, regularly earning massive paydays.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old anticipated a stoppage in rounds four or five and asserted he would stop the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul said.

Size Difference

As Joshua and Paul met for the usual face-off, with their size difference on show, it drove home just how surprising this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is truly proceeding.
